Privacy Policy
Coppelia talks to your Jellyfin server so it can show your library and play your music. There is no Coppelia cloud, no analytics dashboard, and no ad-tech anywhere.
What your device stores
Your device stores copies of your Jellyfin library data (like artists, albums, playlists) and cached album art so it can show them to you quickly. This data is stored locally on your device and is never shared with anyone else. You can clear this data at any time from the app settings.
What your device transmits
When you use Coppelia, your device transmits data to your Jellyfin server to fetch your library information and stream your music. This data includes things like your username (if you have one set up on your Jellyfin server), the names of artists/albums/playlists you view, and playback information (like what songs you play and when). This data is only transmitted between your device and your Jellyfin server, and is never shared with anyone else.
If you do not want to transmit playback information to your Jellyfin server, you can disable this feature in the app settings. Note that this can break functionality like scrobbling.
Third-party services
Coppelia does not use any third-party services for analytics, advertising, or data-collection. The only code we use that wasn't written by Coppelia developers is a variety of open-source libraries which also don't collect any data.
Coppelia is open-source software, which means that anyone can inspect the code to verify that it doesn't do anything sketchy. The source code lives at Coppelia on GitHub.
